Polypropylene-random (PP-R) pipe is a different type of water pipe from PVC pipe because the material of PP-R pipe is plastic produced from the petroleum process which has its own unique character. PP-R plumbing is often green in color and has high resistance to low and high temperatures as well as resistance to high pressure. This is what makes PP-R pipes very suitable for conveying hot water and cold pressurized water such as showers.
